The 1st SKKU Nobel Class Forum, organized by the College of Engineering and Energy Frontier Lab, was held on May 29 (Wed) under the theme of "The Nobel Prize Winning Act" and "The Rough Journey to the Noble Prize" at the Auditorium of Samsung Library in the Natural Science Campus. A total of 250 undergraduate and graduate students attended the event.
In his welcoming speech, Chancellor ‘Shin Dong-ryul’ expressed expectations for the forum, saying that it will serve as a cornerstone for our university to produce Nobel laureates and achieve its 50th global TOP ranking in global university evaluations.
Nobel Prize-winning judge ‘Sven Lidin’ described Alfred Nobel's life and will, and the trends and changes of the Nobel Prize under the theme of "The Nobel Prize Winning Act.“
Under the theme of "The Rough Journey to the Nobel Prize," Olov Amelin, former director of the Nobel Museum, used three keywords: failure, ignorance and serendipity to explain the Nobel Prize winners and cases.
Starting with the SKKU Nobel Class Forum, the College of Engineering and Energy Frontier Lab will provide special lectures on Nobel laureates to pave the way for the Nobel Prize.
