Yoon Sun-young/Kim Yong-joon Won-woo of the New Material Engineering Department,
Awarded President of the Korea Foundation for Science and Technology at the Nanoyoung challenge
Yoon Sun-young (Sung Kyun Kwan University)/Kim Yong-joon (Sungsa 3rd semester) won the Korea Science and Technology Foundation President Award at the Nano Young Challenge hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Information and Communication and organized by the Nano Technology Research Council.
The Nano Young Challenge, which was held by participants to foster creative nanotechnology talent by encouraging the interest of next-generation researchers in nanotechnology and by implementing nanotechnology ideas, will be awarded the Best (Minister of Science, Technology, Information and Communication), the Korea Science Foundation will receive the Best Award, the Korea Foundation for Science and Technology, and the National Nanopro Infrastructure Council.
The two students, who participated under the team name "Draw the Light (Professor Kim Han-gi), developed a new concept of ink that can create an electrically charged picture by mixing metal nanowires, conductive polymers and food to develop conductive food and applying it to Oriental/Westernization.
Currently, conductive ink is supported by art professor Kim Kye-won, and is applied to Western and oil paintings as well as Oriental paintings and recently introduced a picture speaker/picture nano-generator using conductive ink. The results, made through collaboration between the Department of New Material Engineering and the Department of Fine Arts, have been completed with patent applications and the publication of SCI papers, and research funds have been provided with convergence research support from the engineering college.
