The humanities course for CEOs and executives of small and medium enterprises, organized by the LINC+ Business Group of this school and jointly organized by the Department of Service Convergence Design Cooperation of Information and Communication University, the College of Studios, and the College of Technology, was held on February 5 at the LG Tower in Yangjae, Seoul (Hope: Seongnam Institute for Industrial Promotion and AI-Digital Health Care Research Center). Approximately 60 CEOs and executives from IT companies in Pangyo and Seongnam participated in the event, which marks its fifth anniversary this year.
This course is a customized liberal arts course for entrepreneurs who have considered both management and technology, and professors from overseas universities, business schools, and information and communication universities participated as instructors. The big keywords for the lecture were change, creation and innovation.
"I hope CEOs in companies can get stimulated from a new perspective and have time for their reasons and worries, and it will be time to get a lot of insight," Choi Il-bum, a professor at the University of Foreign Studies, said in a greeting message.
In the first part, professors at the University of Foreign Studies took time to understand human nature from Oriental philosophy under the themes of "The Private Method of Eastern Philosophy and the Real Consciousness of Eastern Philosophy" (Professor Choi Il-bum), "Crazy and Creativity of Eastern Culture" (Professor Cho Min-hwan), and "Man and Bioethics in the AI Era." In the second part, they considered changes, creation and innovation based on humanities under the themes "Wise and Change Management of the City" (Professor Kim Hyuk of Business Administration University) and "Innovation Learning from Western Art" (Professor Kim Yong-seok of Information and Communication University).
"It was a good time to think about the direction of corporate creation and innovation through the humanities in the AI era and get guidelines," said one entrepreneur who participated in the humanities course. The humanities course will be re-enacted early next year.
