In this class, students select topics and sites based on their knowledge and ability of planning, research and design acquired through the entire college education, and deliver suitable planning and design process and creative design ideas. In particular, this class aims the collaboration of architecture background students and students at landscape major. Similar as the professional environment, students from different background learn how to communicate and collaborate each other and derive the comprehensive design that has architectural and landscape concept and strategies in single master plan.

This course offers an introduction to the emerging smart construction technology. Contents of the course include advanced sensors, ICT-based structural health monitoring, construction automation and robotics, building information modeling. Students will gain an appreciation of the state-of-the-art smart construction technology and learn essential concepts and theories in this field. The broad knowledge regarding the smart construction will allow students to see the future direction of the construction field.

This course introduces sensor technologies and their real-world applications in the construction engineering field. Lecture contents include concepts and theories of traditional and advanced sensors as well as data processing for construction engineering purposes. Furthermore, students will design their own sensor system using single board computers to better understand the fundamentals of sensing systems.
