1-4
Korean Yes
Understand the origins and the dimensions of consumer needs from the perspective of human living in a daily life world in which the interaction between a person and the environment originates consumer needs, which are elaborated into different needs from differential dimensions of time and space of a daily living.
SDI4003 Human Environment and Interdisciplinary Design 3 6 Major Bachelor/Master 1-4 - No
This course offers study in human interaction with environment. Students will learn design issues related with environment, spatial and technical, that needs to be integrated with human activities. The issues such as Human-Computer Interaction, Human-Product Interaction, Human-Robot Interaction, Human-Smart Service Interaction will be explored in designing office, living, and commercial environment, where most modern human activities and value chains are taking place. Understandings in human activity observation, context-based activities, and design needs related with environment would be emphasized through team projects.
SDI4004 Product-Service Convergence Design 3 6 Major Bachelor/Master 1-4 Korean Yes
Focusing on product planning cases in the home appliance business of large domestic companies, we gain direct insight into the convergence of user experience and services leading to the creation of products that are actually released into the market. By exploring real-life scenarios, we design an overall experience that bridges the gap between products and services, aiming to develop a keen understanding of this process. Through practical examples, our goal is to acquire the necessary skills to connect products and services in the ever-evolving landscape of modern business and innovation.
SDI5001 Service Design Processes 1 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-8 - No
Service design process is composed of value modeling, service activity design, service interaction design and experience management. Here diversity of values including economical, ecological and experience values is essential in value modeling. Activities of stakeholders are designed with rich consideration of various elements of activity contexts to drive values. Service interactions are designed with much care on touchpoints. Then stakeholder experiences are to be assessed and managed to close the loop so that designing of services can be evolutionally developed. The students will learn the service design processes through team-based design projects. Also the course will introduce methods to understand psychological and behavioral characteristics of consumers as well as customer experience sampling and analysis methods.
