Particularly, the course focuses on past and future of engineering management, economics of R&D, management of new product development, technology valuation, technology strategy and organization.

This course deals with the new theories on the AHP and the ANP which give students abilities to apply to business practices. Particularly, the course focuses on interval estimation in the AHP, inconsistency issues, group aggregation, cost-benet analysis, combination with other methods.

Forecasting under uncertain business environment is a starting point for all managerial activities. Simple linear regression, Multiple Linear Regression and new service forecasting methodologies will be discussed in this class. A forecasting software will be used and a term project of forecasting real problem is required.

In this course we study theories and applications of e-business systems and e-business operation. We emphasis application of systems management engineering theories and methodologies to e-business, such as decision making and quantitative analysis. CRM, SCM, optimization, and data mining in e-business are important application areas of this course.

This course covers decision models of derivatives in financial engineering. We study option, futures, and swaps. We also study pricing model, interest market, risk price, binomial tree, Black-Scholes model, martingale model, interest rate derivative, and real option theories.

These topics are the role of R&D within the process of technological innovation, approaches and theories to R&D/technology strategy, formulating technology strategy in dynamic contexts, case study, R&D project portfolio evaluation.

This course emphasizes the fundamental concept of SI and its applicability to various industrial systems. It first introduces the basic hardware and software tools of SI and then investigates, through numerous case studies, how it has been successfully implemented in real world problems.
