With the acceleration of climate change and global warming, water environment rapidly deteriorates both quantitatively and qualitatively Especially, problems related to emerging contaminants such as fine plastics and trace organic pollutants are of importance. In this course, the fate and transport of these emerging contaminants as well as smart response technologies (SRT) to solve these problems are introduced. Several relevant case studies of deriving and applying the optimal SRT according to the type of emerging contaminants are introduced. - Current and emerging contaminants (fine plastic, trance organic contaminant etc.): case studies in terms of source, cause, fate & transport, problems, etc. - Smart response technology (AOP, adsorption, membrane and other emerging advaced technologies): case studies in terms of theory, process operation and maintenance, economics etc.

- In this undergraduate level course, students first learn energy fundamentals. - Proper utilization of new & renewable energy technologies is key to achieve carbon neutrality. - Principles and fundamentals of various new & renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar energy, hydrogen energy, energy storage, bioenergy, hydroelectric power, tidal power, and wind power) are studied and discussed. - The applications of these renewable energy technologies from an engineering point of view at a undergraduate level are studied and discussed. - In addition, most recent trends towards the new & renewable energy technologies are introduced.

This course aims to understand students with various building codes, design strategies, construction methods, and energy performance evaluation methods required to realize eco-friendly or sustainable buildings for 2050 carbon neutrality. It is a course that helps students who have acquired basic knowledge about building technology, such as architectural engineering and architecture, to understand various element technologies (passive design + active design method, renewable energy system, etc.). In addition, through practice, students can plan zero-energy building and green remodeling of existing buildings.

In this class, based on knowledge and experience of garden and park design, landscape planning, urban theory, and understanding of the urban environment, each student draws a design plan by apply logical and creative planning and design processes. In particular, students will select problematic sites and ecological and social issues - climate change, rapid urbanization, aging, polarization, etc. - and explore solutions through the language of landscape architecture.

Students learn about the planting base and soil characteristics, related systems, regulations, and standards, planting design methodologies and techniques, ecological planting plans, and the characteristics and use of planting materials such as canopy, shrubs and grasses. Apply theoretical knowledge through planting planning practice in urban parks or residential complexes.

Students explore the theories, trends, and issues of modern landscape architecture and enhance their understanding through various precedent projects. This course deals with the basic concept for the overall understanding of the technology called 'blockchain'. We will discuss the purpose of technology and background where blockchain techology has emerged. This course aims to give you the opportunity to think about the limitations and applicability of the technology yourself. You will understand the pros and cons of the two major cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin and Ethereum. In addition, we will discuss the concepts and limitations about consensus algorithm (POW, POS), the scalability of the blockchain, and cryptoeconomics. You will advance your understanding of blockchain technogy through discussions among students about the direction and applicability of the technology.

This course covers the basic machine learning algorithms and practices. The algorithms in the lectures include linear classification, linear regression, decision trees, support vector machines, multilayer perceptrons, and convolutional neural networks, and related python pratices are also provided. It is expected for students to have basic knowledge on calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics, and python literacy.
