Geo-mathmatics is an advanced mathmatics which is specially necessary for a geodetic science. It deals with the followings : interpolation, extrapolation, concept of filtering, regression analysis, least square prediction, least square collocation and a number of transform technique (Fourier, Hartley and Winer transform, Kalman filtering, etc.).
ECA5807 Space/Satellite Geodesy 3 6 Major Master/Doctor 1-4 Korean Yes
"Satellite geodesy is concerned as a ranging system from space and earth-fixed positiong of satellite to unknown position on land, sea, air, and space. This subject deals with the theory and the applications in relation to positioning such as : difinition of satellite geodesy, space and earth coordinate system, GPS surveying, data processing, network adjustment, field work. The goals of this topic are to improve the knowledge of basic theory of satellite position, principles of Very Long Base Line Interferometry(VLBI), Satellite Laser Ranging(SLR) and Global Positioning System(GPS), and to teach the observation method, precision and related characteristics. It also deals with the improvement of ability of practical work by exercise, data processing and practical application in geodetic control surveying. The other applications are : Car Navigation, Marine Navigation and Hydrographic Surveying with GPS and Echo Sound System, etc "
