Contact angle, representing a balance between surface tensions at a three phase boundary, is central to many indurstrial problems. Wetting, adhesion, and detergency depends mostly on the control of interfacial tensions. Emulsions and foams are stabilized or destabilized through the careful use of surface active agents. A variety of such topics is included in this lecture.
